Geri Reacts to friend, George Michael's, Death

Postby Jer » 26 Dec 2016, 09:43

"So so sad , R.I.P George, a dear friend, the kindest, most generous & talented person . My thoughts are with his family.#GeorgeMichael"

She also posted the following photo on instagram

I really hope Geri is ok since her and George (and his ex partner Kenny) were close over the years. Below is the last photo I can find of them together:

I always loved that pic of them. George was a great friend to her as yes I believe was his ex partner Kenny.

^ isn't Kenny Bluebell's godfather?

Anyway, so sad. George was a great artist and friend to Geri. "Freedom" and "Careless Whisper" will remain as pop masterpieces, as well as many Wham! singles <3 rip!

Yes with Victoria, even George and Kenny Split on 2011.

Last night when was announced his death, she was the first person who came to my mind.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in "Just For The Record", it's apparently George Michael who praised Geri's "Calling" and said it was "quite good" or something like that.

RIP George. Stay strong Geri!

She spoke about how George liked Calling in every 2001 interview. That's why he though she was using him to gain media attention and made fun of her in his 2002 video "Shoot the dog".

To be honest, I've always felt that she was closer to Kenny (he's Bluebell's godfather, after all) but kept talking about their frienship with George to get some media exposure.

Yeah, Geri and Kenny were very close. There's many photos of them at events together well into the late 2010s. I have a suspicion that Geri will be in contact with Kenny in light of George's passing.

At the very least, Geri and George were able to bury the hatchet, which was apparent by the photos we saw of the two of them goofing around at the Olympics after party. I bet Geri is in shock right now, the two shared some great memories together.

I forgot about that video it was from the creators of the series 2DTV

George, Geri and Elton John were a funny little trio in it.

Yes, I believe there's another shot where Naomi Campbell is beside her as well but can't seem to find it anywhere online.

Thanks, just found another shot where Kate's face is recognizable;)

I really thought there would be even more celebs but it looks like there's only Stephen cut out from the original picture.

It's very possible with Naomi though as they all have been to Olympics and those pics were taken at the after party at George's.

George Michael's £100m fortune 'will go to his Godchildren': Offspring of his celebrity friends could inherit tens of millions EACH after star died without heirs

GeorgeMichael is also expected to leave money to Geri Horner's daughter Bluebell, who was the Goddaughter of his ex-boyfriend Kenny Goss, the Daily Mirror reported.

I think this is not accurate, since Kenny is her godfather, not George.
But if that's the case, I was wondering if Geri could pause this GEM/solo projects and start engaging in a lovely tribute to George. She's had truly connection to him and I believe she could embrace a beautiful farewell show with all George's friends. I'm sure she would feel really proud of making this happen.

Please lets not turn this into a Geri music thing or a 'platform' for her music. That's not what this is about and it's so typical of a Spice fan to think of something like this.

I never said it as platform or something. IF and I say IF she wants to make a tribute, a show, a song, an album dedicated to George, she's totally free to do it.That's what artists do all the time. But I won't take this discussion further cause I see people are touched by this loss and that's fair enough.
