Lol I found it thanks to Marcus Lemonis (the bilionaire from the tv show The Profit).... all thanks to late night television reality tv. Does anyone know if he has a stake in it because he retweets it with "Lets see".

Garber, reached by the Miami Herald on Wednesday, would say only that “this needs to come to a conclusion. We’re spending an enormous amount of time and money on it, and we have been holding off on finalizing our expansion plans while this situation is unresolved, and that’s not fair to MLS, not fair to David and his partners, not fair to anybody at this point.”

I wonder how much money have they spent already.

^ WOW what a cluster **** this has been!! And to think he had an option to invest in LAG, and even be part owner, wow, what a fool!!!

Garber is right, this needs to come to a conclusion, move the fuck on, if Miami cant give you what you want with their Political BS!!

I think the amount of money they spent must be nuts, but that is what "investments" and such deals are about, nothing is guaranteed, and you can end up loosing cash for all parties involved! Never heard anything about Marcus being part of this though!

uh, it's easy to call him a fool in hindsight. His contract was to buy a new team not to buy into an existing one. Hope they find a solution or just move on, I doubt it's his passion anyway.

^ They had an option to buy into LAG only, i specifically remember that, and everyone thought they would. He was a damn fool indeeed for not doing it. But you are right, this is Fuller all the way, from the start it was his idea, David is just the public image for it.

He will be at the Singapore International Film Festival tomorrow, lol.

It's official, they setteled on the site:

http://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/c ... 39140.html

Reading the soccer forums, some are saying its a bad neighbourhood, with a lot of crime, and a bad pick. However others are saying its going through major changes, with a lot of other new developments, and that its a perfect spot. Either way glad to see the drama is over, and now they can focus on building the stadium, tons more work to be done.

What a relief. I still feel it will be long before they start making money. Taxes alone must be crazy and I doubt all the doors that were closed will magically open. They need a big brand sponsoring and that would have been easier years ago.

^ What i find amazing is that they are going with no tax breaks, no public vote to create tax free zones, no unpaid for gov't land, they are really bringing this "in house", obviously it will cost them a pretty penny, but a lot less hassle. And if it works out, in a decade they could have a great new part of Miami, and the money will be rolling in. Still way too long to go before that happens, a lot to be done!

David Beckham: For the Love of the Game
Tuesday 29th December on BBC 1 @ 9pm

David Beckham sets himself the challenge of a lifetime: playing a football match on all seven continents of the globe in under ten days and getting back in time for his own Unicef fundraising match at Old Trafford. On the journey, David discovers what football means to the many different people he meets and plays with, as well as some of the universal truths about the game itself, like its unique ability to inspire and unite people across the world. David plays with tribes in Papua New Guinea, children from an earthquake-damaged school in Nepal and refugees from neighboring African countries at a refugee camp in Djibouti. He flies on to Argentina, where he plays a community youth team in Buenos Aires, then to Antarctica to play with an international team of scientists, then to the USA to play the University of Miami women's soccer team, before finally flying on to Old Trafford in Manchester for the Unicef fundraiser match.
