It is an imprint of Universal.

Thanks, makes sense as that is the label that holds the rights to their music now. So this would seem like it is a proper release and probably explains why we never got the Spice vinyl from Urban Outfitters or whatever they are called.

I guess SpiceWorld will get the same treatment, maybe the Greatest Hits, but Forever?
Another question, do you think some of the solo albums will be someday on vinyl? If I'm not wrong only Free Me was edited as a promo item and it is very expensive and hard to find. Hot has a sampler on vinyl but it's not the full album and the sleeve is just a plain black sleeve sickered.

I also hope at least some of the solo albums ger their vinyl release. At least the 3 from Emma, the 3 from Geri, Northern Star and maybe Hot and VB.

Didn't know Free me was just a promo vinyl. I should check it if it's the promo I have then once I get home from work.

Ooh, nice news. Would be lovely if all the albums were re-released / released, but I won't hold my breath!

I hope they do release all 3 albums on vinyl. "Spiceworld" would make sense next year, for its 20th anniversary. "Forever" seems less likely, but you never know.

I really have no idea why there is not a division of Universal that is not producing limited edition/collector's only releases for die-hard fans of their artists. I'm sure they could produce some nice box sets or rarity collections and overprice them for us and they would make their money back and then some.

SpiceWorld is the only option available as if it's a RE-issue we can expect something which was released already and unfortunately neither Forever not GH were available on LPs. Those Urban Outfitters, they even didn't release SpiceWorld so I don't think we'll get a release of that album on LP, too.

It is promo, it says that on the sleeve.

Even though it's being released in the UK on October 21st it's already #31 on the proper Vinyl Amazon chart. :)

Well hopefully with 3 months of pre-orders it can accumulate enough sales to re-chart in the top 200 on release week.

Even though its a Vinyl, regardless of the format, if there are many sales can it chart in the album charts?

Of course. Any vinyls of Spice sold will count towards the albums chart position in the UK and overall UK sales.

Good to hear. Surely it will pass 3m and the charts are celebrating its 60th year so we may get a few album facts, sales update etc :)

Asda are stocking Spice the album right now, I think because of the 60th year of the official charts celebration thing. If the album gets a proper re-release then it will no doubt pass the 3m sales mark in the UK. If not this restocking and the vinyl release will take it desperately close.

#16 best selling vinyl on Amazon now and #482 best selling album overall.

Hopefully this gets sold in HMV too and maybe Sainsburys as they have started selling vinyl.

^ I'd love it if it has wide availability like that!

Also let's make a trip to ASDA Sammy and pretend it's 1996 all over again. :')
