The difference is, Chrisitna Aguilera is a legend, a 5 time grammy award winner with a string of successful singles and albums including a string of number 1 hits. Really now, just because her last album didn't perform aswell as her previous releases, does not make her on the same bar as the saturdays. Those girls are amateurs, no-one really knows who they even are and their singles and albums hardly ever make the top 3, let alone the top spot. They're NOT a real band, not in my eyes anyway. They're trying too hard to succeed and they don't realise that they've really been going no where since their first release. The only reason their record company is holding on to them, is because of sympahty. All 5 of them will be without a career if they were to be dropped. It's the truth and they know it, which is probably why none of them have had the sense to quit the group yet :puke:

I really want to have a massive argument to that statement, but I won't becuase I would get a warning.

Just one thing, let's face it, Christina is not going to be as successful as she was. Fact.

Ikr! it's annoying and cliche whenever people talk about flops, they easily connect Bionic and Xtina. :z

The Saturdays have insisted that they are pleased with the chart performance of their latest album On Your Radar.

The group said they are "happy" with the chart placing of the LP, which entered at number 23 last week before dropping out of the top 40 yesterday.

Vanessa White told Digital Spy at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball: "It was a really busy week and we've never really released at this time of year in the build-up to Christmas.

"We're really happy with it and we're proud of the album because we had a lot of input. We're really looking forward to performing all the songs on tour, so it's an exciting time!"

Dicussing their next single, which was rumoured to be their Travie McCoy collaboration 'The Way You Watch Me', she revealed: "We don't know what exactly the next single will be yet. We haven't decided, but it could be that song."

The Saturdays previously claimed that a number one single would mean "so much" to them.

I really like TWYWM but I still think White Lies or GRGS would make wiser more commercial choices.

Mollie apparently said they are all going on holiday together next year to celebrate their 5th anniversary, cant believe they have been together half as long as Girls Aloud have been.

Its nice that they are still close just wish they enjoyed more success.

Lol, they'd be "happy with how _____ did" even if it didn't chart.

So there's still a tiny chance the next single won't be the Travie McCoy track?
There's a ray of light in this!

LOL at them "happy" with a #23. I personally hope some single helps it peaking higher than #23.

The albums sales must be on around 27-28k now as Kelly Rowlands album sold just less than 9k last week to get to #56

I just hope whatever single they choose (GRGS or White Lies please!) can help get the album back into the Top 40

well, they actually didn't say they were happy with a #23, Vaness ajust said they were happy and pleased with the album. anyway, the album didn't impress me and I'm sad about this, it's the first time I cannot enjoy a Sats album. I've listened to it twice and basically felt underwhelmed. that's why I don't even feel like it should've got a better peak.

^

"It was a really busy week and we've never really released at this time of year in the build-up to Christmas.

"We're really happy with it[...]"

"Happy with it" is a continuation of the "busy week / this time of year" excuse, then she happens to end it all off with a positive twist about being proud of the album because of the girls having input.
