'Overloaded' cover

Postby Norm » 01 Apr 2012, 15:43

Random topic I know, but something always niggled at me over the years that there seem to be 2 versions of the Overloaded cover floating around:

They seem to have randomly photoshopped Heidi and Amelle's dresses. Just seems a bit... pointless!?! The second one looks better anyway...

And have they not been shifted slightly on the second one?

Yeah, they seem more off-centre. I never liked that cover anyway but it bugs me that it ended up being tweaked constantly. I remember the logo was slightly different when the cover was first revealed (think it was on the official website?) to how it ended up on the CD.

I actually preferred the very first promo pic of the album cover with the original background of that building with the river in front, that should have stayed as the cover IMO.

It's still ridiculous that Amelle is on the cover.

They would have been better off having nobody on the front if they really didn't want to put Mutya on there. Jay's idea in that other topic of having silhouettes was genius but given that the Girls Aloud GH was released at the same time and that already had silhouettes on the cover I doubt they would have gone for the same idea...

^ They should have swapped their ideas! :D

I've always disliked this Sugababes cover. With the black background, Heidi just looks like she's really tall! It looks better with the building background, as it at least looks more obvious that she's standing on a wall. Aside from that though, that picture of them really says nothing about the Sugababes. It's a very nondescript image!

Heidi towers over the others and looks REALLY pissed off, whilst Amelle just looks wierd - like part of her face is swollen or something. Keisha's the only one that looks alright. Overall a bad shot made worse by the dodgy photoshop job of erasing the background. Oh, and don't even get me started on the ugly case the CD came in...

That cover is HIDEOUS to me, they look weird and they don't even look happy to be there.
And as it was their GREATEST HITS 2 songs that included Amelle, they should have put each member of the Sugababes in the booklet on like a separate page next to the songs they feature on or something and just have the Sugababes logo on the front rather than that image that they have up, cause Mutya is on almost every track except the ones that Amelle feature on so she should have been mentioned.
